Am I ready to be a parent?

Although you may never have thought it possible, parenting is an option for your unplanned pregnancy. No matter your situation, how much education or money you have, or who else is in your life, parenting is both hard and rewarding. As you learn more about this option, you might be surprised at just how capable you really are.

Important questions to ask

When considering parenting, it’s important to ask yourself and others some difficult questions. It will help you figure out what support you’d need. Be honest with yourself and sit down with someone you trust to talk it over.

  • Will my parents and/or partner support me?
  • Can I support my child financially and emotionally?
  • How will parenting impact my job or education?

In addition, we offer free resources you can take to learn more about the development of your baby, breastfeeding, parenting, and more.

What’s the next step?

Like all of your options, it’s important to talk through the pros and cons of parenting. First, make sure you’ve verified your pregnancy with our free and confidential pregnancy tests and possibly an ultrasound. Our options mentor will sit down, review your results, and talk about you and your future. We want what’s best for you.
